The Most Important Step To Having A Clean Rug

By Cory | March 18, 2010

A 9 x 12 Oriental Rug can hold up to 87 pounds of soil without looking dirty! This was demonstrated by a study done by the Eureka Vacuum Cleaner Company. Wool rugs are built in a way that hides dry soil. Over time, this particulate soiling damages the fibers and hinders the rugs original lustrous appearance since light doesn’t reflect well off of dirt. There is not a vacuum cleaner in this world that can remove ALL of the dirt in your area rug. Here is a picture of us dusting rugs during the Forsythia festival. We are using our Rugbadger.

This rug dusting machine sends thousands of harmonic vibrations through the rug from its backing causing all the dirt to fall through the grates and onto the ground. Our Electrolux Sanitaire Commercial vacuum cleaner was strong enough to vacuum up the dirt that fell a inch or so through grates without removing the grates! Now that’s a strong vacuum cleaner. But we vacuumed several rugs with it before running our Rugbadger over them and was still able to pull out lots of dirt with the Rugbadger that the vacuum cleaner could not remove. Simply put, the Rugbadger is the most important step to getting your rug cleaned and we are the only rug cleaning company around Macon that has invested in one.

The RugBadger is the equivalent of having 40,000. grannies all beating the rugs all at the same time!> just a whole lot more gentle.
